How Aikam Electrical grew from one electrician in Squamish into one of the Sea to Sky corridor's most trusted electrical contractors.

2011
Aikam is founded in Squamish

Starting with residential service work across the Sea to Sky corridor, Aikam builds its first reputation for reliability — showing up on time, doing clean work, and standing behind every job.

2015
Smart home and commercial scope expands

Aikam becomes a certified Lutron and Sonos installer, opening the door to higher-end residential clients. The team takes on its first multi-unit commercial projects across the corridor.

2019
Magnolia House — first major multi-family project

Aikam delivers the full electrical package for a multi-storey residential complex in North Vancouver — suite wiring, life safety, parking, and exterior lighting. A milestone for the company.

2023
EV infrastructure and net-zero ready construction

As the Sea to Sky corridor begins demanding EV-ready construction and Step Code 5 compliance, Aikam invests in the knowledge and systems to deliver it. EV energy management becomes a core service.

2025
AP3 Finch Drive — $2.1M full electrical scope

Aikam wins and delivers the complete electrical package for the AP3 development — 70 residential units, underground parking, fire alarm, EV charging infrastructure, and full permits. The largest project in Aikam's history.
